2013-06- Gallery Talks - 2012-2013 -Loved Ones Go To War: Local Stories on World War II

Our initial program of the Gallery Talks series is a discussion of the 2012-2013 exhibition, Loved Ones Go To War: Local Stories of World War II. Some days change everything. We think of September 11, 2001. The exhibit opening in June in the West Gallery of the Woolley House asks us to consider another. On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, destroying 20 ships and nearly 200 planes, killing more than 2,000 American sailors and soldiers, and wounding another 1,000. The country was at war, and overnight, everything changed.

Peggy Dellinger, Exhibit Director of the Township of Ocean Historical Museum discusses the exhibition; Produced by Mort Burke and Narrated by Yevette Burke.

Funding for Gallery Talks was provided by the New Jersey Cultural Trust.
